All of the kids are spares at this point – no black sheep here. In order to be a black sheep, by definition, they have to have two positive traits. Larceny is the only one with a positive trait (dog lover). The others have neutral or negative traits. This means they get to have a normal life as teens.
Vanity really likes Lilith, enough to give her a key to the house. She hasn’t decided yet if she is going to ask her to move in though. That is a big commitment, and death seems to follow those kinds of commitments. And maybe she likes Lilith too much for that.
Avarice continues to build her mischief skill, well actually she piddles at it. She also needs programming. And despite everything, she isn’t learning either one of them very fast.
The cats are all doing good. They are shredding all of the furniture and being generally spoiled brats, like cats are.
Cache enjoys the slide before school. I keep waiting for him to burst into flames but he seems to understand his limits when it comes to the sun exposure.
Vanity’s work day is just a day, but she is interested to discover a new coworker – Wolfgang Munch. She tests her Ghost Goo serum on him. He never turns into a ghost, but he does have an interesting visit from the Reaper.
When she gets home, without a promotion, Raven comes out to meet her.
Everyone is hungry, so they begin the process of inviting a bunch of acquaintances over – everyone gets a sim to eat. It is almost like a party.
Vanity is surprised when she is abducted – thankfully she can’t get pregnant by aliens for two reasons – she is female and she is a vampire. I believe this is her first abduction.
Treasure is going to make a trip into the jungle. To prepare she drinks a moodlet solver so that she can get the most out of her time there.
There is no one in the marketplace so she will have to hope her one machete lasts long enough to get her to the temple.
It doesn’t. She loses it abut halfway through and has to return to the marketplace.
She maxed Selvadoradian Culture so that she could buy more machetes from the secret menu, and then a vendor showed up and put more machetes out on the table.
Before she could walk over to the table to buy the machetes, she was struck by lightning, but I wasn’t looking in the right place and I missed the lightning strike.
Back in the jungle, she finally makes it to the temple.
She works her way through the temple with mixed levels of success. She gets there but she ends up poisoned. Time will tell whether she fights off the poisoning.
She comes up just short – the final treasure is on the other side of the column. It is unlocked, but she passes out before she can loot it. And then her vacation runs outs and she is sent home without her treasure.
Treasure comes home in time for Turtle to become the first to move into the pet cemetery. He waited for her to come home to die. RIP Turtle.
Treasure successfully overcomes the poisoning. It is not her turn to die. Yet.
Which means it is time to try again. Treasure returns to the jungle for another run at the temple treasure.
Treasure is poisoned again, this time before she ever gets to the temple.
She is trying to complete the temple before she runs out of time, but she passes out. She also does not fight off the poisoning this time. It has progressed and is getting worse.
She is so close to collecting the treasure from the temple, but she keeps passing out.
Treasure has collected the treasure. She has lived up to her name, and completed her mission. In life.
While Treasure was in Selvadorada, Vanity earned a promotion to Pioneer of New Technologies, level 8.
A bunch of vampire bats poofing away. And they all leave Treasure just standing there, covered in green circles. They literally have no concern at all about their poisoned sister.
Vanity is working on building, and then upgrading the rocket ship.
Avarice is ready to celebrate her birthday and she is making her own birthday cake, that no one will be able to eat, except Treasure and the cats.
This is generally how it looks whenever I am cooking anything, speaking of the cats.
Avarice rolls… Gloomy +5 to go with Glutton and Evil. She has three Bad traits and has solidly earned her place as the second generation heiress. Her aspiration is Vampire Family which gives her Domestic. She picked up Happy Toddler, Mentally Gifted, and Responsible during her years growing up. She started off as an Angelic toddler but overcame that deficit as she grew up.
Avarice takes her place in the Criminal career, accepting a position as a Ringleader, level 3. She will be working her way up the Oracle branch.
Larceny purchases another Bubalus. Maybe they can keep this one alive. Looking at their noses, it seems appropriate that he has the responsibility to care for the creature.
Vanity has another quiet day at work without a promotion. Despite doing everything required, her performance bar moves very slowly. Maybe she should stop feeding off of her coworkers?
It is time for Catastrophy to have his age-up treat. He is such a pretty cat, but it is time to move along and become an elder.
The family dines together as families do.
And then leaves their leftovers at the curb for cleanup later.
Vanity has Treasure take a photograph of her and Lilith. I want to give Lilith a makeover, but feel like I should wait until I control Lilith, if that time every comes.
Larceny has grown a cowplant he calls Twinkle. His challenge will be keeping Twinkle alive. Allowing her to die from neglect will result in a loss of 25 points.
Avarice, Larceny, and the Cache all tried to feed Twinkle but she wasn’t hungry. Yet.
That time when you are woohooing and realize the cats are watching.
Srik comes out to visit with Treasure. Maybe he suspects she will be joining him sooner than later.
Avarice comes home with a promotion to Felonius Monk, level 4. Now she has to gain two levels of Mischief for her next promotion. They don’t make this career easy.
Twinkle is hungry and Cache is the first one to get to her.
Cache’s essence of discomfort will go into the museum for safekeeping.
Vanity calls everyone to the Grand Feast. Just want a bunch of vampires need – turkey, dressing, and mashed potatoes.
Catastrophy is the first to the platter.
The family gathers to enjoy the food they cannot digest. Only Treasure can actually eat the turkey. But they are going to complete this holiday tradition.
Catastrophy decides to run away because they wouldn’t let him have a plate of turkey for himself.
Wait, we still have a maid? Avarice has dinner.
Avarice is working on mischief and they were trapped by the gnomes so instead of trolling the forums, she did mischief on Cache instead. She was able to get the levels she needed for work a lot quicker than trolling the forums.
Cache goes back for seconds with Twinkle, and I missed the picture. Damn vampires, flying everywhere as bats, I can’t keep up with them. His essence of life was also added to the museum. RIP Cache.
I figured this would happen sooner or later. Treasure is the only non-vampire in the house, and that makes her fair game for the vampires that are very thirsty. However, Larceny is the first to feed from her.
Almost immediately after Larceny finishes feeding, Treasure collapses from the poison and dies. RIP Treasure.
At least Grim only had to make one trip to the house, and he collected both twins in the same trip.
The cemetery is officially finished: 11 graves, 10 unique deaths. Although, these won’t be the last graves added to the cemetery – there are still several more generations remaining.
And Vanity is out crying over the cat. The Pet Cemetery is at 1/5 – only 4 more pets to go.
Catastrophy comes home bearing gifts. Vanity collected it, but I didn’t look to see what it was.
Welcome back, dumbass.
