Proud of Darkness, Chapter 18

With Avarice becoming a young adult, it is time to update the plan for world domination.  Vanity is currently level 8 Scientist and plans on continuing in the Scientist career until she reaches level 10.  Hopefully this will be soon.  Then, she will switch over to Politics with the goal of becoming the National Leader.  She will continue to collect frogs until she completes the collection, but she still has a long way to go.  She will continue to adopt cats until the pet cemetery is complete.  And, she will continue to keep Ravenclaw alive for the immortal companion challenge.

Avarice will be working her way up the Criminal career ladder to becoming The Oracle.  She will also need to bring in the third generation at some point.  This means she needs to find a man that can get her pregnant.

Larceny is a spare.  Pure and simple.  And as a spare, he is in the way.  And the one way that he absolutely cannot die is by old age (-20 points for any spare that dies from old age).  For now, his one task is going to be keeping the cowplant alive (-25 points if the cowplant dies from neglect).

Then, there is the question of Lilith.  Vanity really likes Lilith and believes she may have finally found her soulmate.  She is torn about whether she should have her move in, or just continue with things the way they are.  If Lilith moves in, she can help with the plans for world domination.  But there is a danger with moving in, as death comes to those that do stupid shit once they are a part of the household.

Vanity and Lilith have a quick date and then head back to the house for a sleepover date.  That is a misnomer since they never actually sleep on their sleepover dates.

Vanity spends the morning serenading, flirting, and generally romancing Lilith.  She seems determined to make sure there isn’t any doubts about her feelings for Lilith.

Vanity works hard for her money, but she comes up short for her promotion.  Maybe tomorrow.  Tomorrow meaning Monday.

She evens meets an alien before the day is over.  Weird.  He is about two generations too early.

Larceny is doing his best to stay under the radar.  He takes care of the plants, keeps the cowplant alive, and loves on the cats.

Catastrophy is still just chilling.

Avarice and Larceny spend a lot of their free time in the cemetery.  They are normally mourning over Turtle but sometimes they will visit the other graves.

Avarice decides it will be easiest to wish for romance rather than going out to meet sims.  Maybe she will get lucky with her wish.  She also makes a very large offering just in case it helps.

This looks optimistic.  Avarice is actually going to meet her soulmate, her one true love.  The anticipation…

Her very old, one true love.  Nestor Allocco is probably just as surprised to find himself madly in love with Avarice.

However, they both accept their fate and move forward with their whirlwind romance.

Umm, yeah.

There is a little problem since Avarice is deep in mourning over the deaths of Treasure and Cache and she can’t initiate any romantic actions.  Vanity steps in and influences the emotions in their area, giving them both a flirty outlook on life.

It takes a few minutes for the flirty to overtake the sad.  During that time, Raven has to check out Nestor’s reflexes.

Avarice is back, and she is now flirty.  Nestor is also flirty, so their romance is commencing.

Nestor melts under her gaze.  He is smitten, poor thing.

And, they take their love into the privacy of her bedroom.  Hopefully she won’t give him a heart attack.  At least not until after she has what she needs.

Vanity is once again abducted.  I am really glad she can’t get pregnant, although I just realized that each alien abduction is -10.  And each alien baby from an abduction is -25.  Dammit Vanity.

Raven went and got old again, so it was time for Vanity to give her a magical treat to reset her back to Adult.  I wish there was a way to freeze their aging process but nope, Vanity just was to age her down each time she becomes an elder.

All pretty and spry once again.  Ready to destroy any remaining furniture in the house.  I wonder if that is why the value of the house is lower than I expect – because all of the furniture needs to be repaired.

Nestor invites Avarice out to the local flea market and she takes advantage of the outing to tell him she is pregnant.  He is excited to hear the news – he is getting pretty old after all.  Better late, than never.  Avarice hopes the baby is a girl, since she needs an heiress and there is some concern over Nestor’s longevity.

Avarice needs to level mischief so she picks on Larceny.  It doesn’t look like anyone is very happy with her, but she got it done – level 6.

Good kitty.  Actually both kitties are expensive little shits.  When the pets scratch up the furniture, it effects the value of the house.  In order to get the full value Vanity had to repair everything they had damaged.  Then she had to add TVs to several rooms.  There are still a lot of violins in storage but she is slowly trading them out for other items as the house gains value organically.  It is just hard to find items that actually add value that she doesn’t already have without adding objects just to add objects, and in that case, the violins are already doing that.
