100 Babies of Grace, Merry.16

After the drama filled weekend, Monday was a quiet day.  I realized that after updating all of the kids that had moved out I had left them marked played so MCCC had skipped over them for a few days, so I unchecked them and got them back in the time stream.  So I am expecting more babies incoming in a week from them.  Back home, everyone got up early in stages to take care of their potty needs and then their hunger needs, slowly congregating in the living room.  Niagara has joined the scouts so she is now working on the badges.  Since everyone is there, she is working on Sociability (friendly) and Good Deeds (funny).  The first badge she collected was Give Back (giving to charity).  By the time school starts, she has promoted to Unicorn Scout – level 3.  Normandy still needs to complete the motor aspiration – he is slowly improving motor skill – it is the only thing remaining, and it is taking him forever (checked his trait, he is glutton not lazy).

Around the time the kids head off the school, L&L get up for breakfast.  I give them cheese balls.  In my defense, I did not know they were considered dessert.  Cheese is not a dessert in my book.  It is good to eat anytime, but it is not a sweet and it does not constitute sugar.

After breakfast they are playing on the tablet, counting down the sugar high.  I can see the angry moodlet in their future.

Naoki just randomly showed up.  Merry doesn’t have the option to ask him to leave or anything.  I know sometimes the fathers come back, but normally it is the father of the current toddlers.  These are not his toddlers.  Also, Merry kept queueing up an action to be mean to London.  It would sit there and just as it was dropping down into play, it would change to a friendly action.  This happened three or four times.  Once the sugar/angry counter hit zero, London started yelling at Merry, and even when she tried to yell back, she couldn’t.  I finally sent her out to get the mail to break the stuck loop.

Quiet day, like I said.  The kids came home from school with projects.  So they set them up, everyone gathered outside (I had to instruct the teens to put on their coats because they were stupid and freezing) and the toddlers brought out the tablets and everyone worked until they were either done, about to pee themselves, or about to pass out.  Everyone went to bed without dinner but they will be up bright and early for breakfast and to do their homework.  I expect Riviera and Rushmore will take a vacation from school so they aren’t stressed out for work.

London’s girlfriend is back. ? Ayla Huntington III is her name.

Tuesday morning brings the breakage of everything in the house.  Beginning with all of the plumbing.  Which I didn’t catch until everyone woke up and desperately needed to go.

Of course, once Merry got everything repaired, then all of the kids off to school that were going to school, Lourdes was allowed to free range since she has her skills in place.  They are just waiting on London to get the last little bit of his thinking in line (they are at 2 days till age up).  And even with all of the toys and activities to choose from, this is what she chooses.

London went to bed for a nap (Merry had finally managed to start nagging/yelling so he responded by going to bed) and woke up with a nightmare.  Now he wants someone to come comfort him, but everyone is busy.  No one was sleeping so he didn’t have anyone to go wake up.

Finally Rushmore comes to his rescue with a hug.  Sadly, it doesn’t help, and when Rush goes to get some sleep before work, London is right behind him with plans to wake him back up.

Merry heads him off with some flashcards and he finally reaches level 3 thinking.  Woot.  Someone is having a birthday today.  Right now.

So, I wake Lourdes up so she can come have a birthday also, but she calls Merry to come get her out of bed.  No dammit.  Merry is busy, so I cancel that action, and Merry takes London to the cake.

I see, lazy ass got herself out of bed just fine.

Lourdes didn’t want to miss her own birthday cake. ?

Yes, my dear, FINALLY!  It feels like you guys have been here forever!  I love you both, now get out!

Rush takes a job in Culinary and they both move out – two spaces are now open!

Merry wastes no time inviting Hugo over for some space filling activity.

With a baby, or two, on the way, Merry is happy to send Hugo on his way.  I think she has missed that particular activity.

After she just-friends Hugo I realize that her New Year’s resolution was to have a significant other.  Not wanting to go backwards, she invites over the next baby daddy, and they get all romantic.  He agrees to be her boyfriend, and at this point I realize I never had her take a pregnancy test because she still had the option to Try for Baby.  She is already pregnant, but she doesn’t know that yet.

So, off to the closet they go.  They must have made a racket because the mail lady could hear them all the way outside of the house.

I do believe Merry is getting tired of being pregnant.  She is no longer cheering when she finds out she is pregnant.

I forgot to post pictures of L&L – I was waiting for their makeovers and then they were asleep and I forgot

London has become a Vegetarian, Artistic Prodigy.  He will not be happy in this household because I tend to make non-vegetarian dishes and I forget and he will regularly be sick from eating meat.  Sorry.

Lourdes has become a Perfectionist, Whiz Kid (thankfully neither of them got social – and Normandy is still trying to max motor and get an A at school)

It’s like there was a memo about cool kids not sitting at the table – they only sit against the wall now.

After breakfast they worked on getting their homework done before school.

Niagara has an A in school and has completed her aspiration so she is working on badges.  Sahara has an A in school and is taking the day off to try to be in a good mood for work tonight.  It would be nice to move her out before Merry gives birth.

When the kids come home from school, they go straight to work.  Normandy is working on maxing his motor skill.  I gave him the option of playing the typing game on the computer but he wouldn’t stay there, so back to the monkey bars it is.

London is beginning creativity.  I had to remove Child’s Play from the house because he needs to stay in Inspired and the lot trait flips them into Playful when they use one of the kids toys.

Lourdes needs Merry to read to her, and neither one of them can stay focused on the task at hand.  Merry kept getting up to put the book up and Lourdes kept slapping her head.

Normandy finally maxes out motor.  Dude, that was hard.  He was slow.

The two hours Merry had to read to Lourdes seemed to stretch out for days, but they finally finished.  Next Merry began to teach her how to play chess.  Merry won all three games and every time Lourdes would slap the pieces over.

Sahara missed getting her promotion by a sliver.  She was so close to getting the promotion that I could feel the empty space in the house.

Look at London cleaning up all the dishes.  I wish more of them would do that.  I keep thinking about hiring them a maid, but there are so many sims living here, that they should be able to do it themselves.

While Sahara didn’t earn a cake today, Normandy finally earned a cake for him and Niagara.

She had already done her part, she was just waiting on her twin.

Normandy adds Self-Assured to Glutton and rolls Grilled Cheese which I change to Master Chef.

Niagara is now a Neat Perfectionist and rolls Outdoor Enthusiast.

Normandy and Niagara will be not only the first teens of this challenge to not have jobs, but to the scout thing – they will also be the first time I have had to earn the badges with teens.  In the past, I have earned the badges with children, so N&N and I are going to be figuring out which activities they can use for each badge.  To start off, Outdoor Adventurer as a teen can be earned by grilling – so Normandy is going to level cooking skill (for school) and earn his badge this way.

Niagara is going to earn her badge fishing.  She also needs a skill for school and this will do double duty.  I have been giving all of the kids Heat Acclimation, Cold Acclimation, and Waterproof before they move out, so that is helping since it is raining on them at the moment.

Sahara is chilling out with some yoga before work.  She wants that promotion.

And despite the face, she came home with that promotion.  She will be moving out in the morning.

I caught her and Merry being mean to each other.  She is “acting tough” and Merry has the option to punish her for being mean.  That would be like the pot calling the kettle black.

Instead, Sahara packs up and moves out.

grumble I will be so glad when it is someone else’s turn to work on the Civic Responsibility badge grumble

YES! that was the last nasty toilet I have to clean.

That is what you think.

Sahara turns around to say goodbye and realizes Merry is sick once again.  This time she has stripes and the giggly disease.

After adding Sahara’s picture to the wall, the second wall is complete.  That is 10 daddies and 12 children.

Coming back to the house after settling Sahara , we find Lourdes trying to remember what she is supposed to do when she has to pee really bad.

It is Love Day, so Merry invites Wolfgang over.  He is still currently her boyfriend – he is the next baby daddy – so she is going to get some fun for the day.  Apparently they got stuck in the closet.  I am guessing her big baby belly got stuck on a hanger or something.  I had to reset them to get them out.

They stood around and talked and are so cute together.  I want to keep him.  He is Mean and Gloomy and Married and probably a Criminal.  But they are so cute together.  He looks so young, but he is older than she is now.  She is still a Young Adult (barely) and he is an Adult.

Babies #17 and #18 are Hawaii and Helsinki Grace (Merry is holding Hawaii)

  • Baby Daddy is Hugo Villareal
  • Merry’s age: YA, 5 days till age up

She looks so tired, but we are back on track.

She should get pregnant one more time as a young adult.  Which will give her 19 or 20 babies before becoming an Adult.  I don’t expect her to match that output as an Adult.  Originally, I only planned on her having about 25-26 babies during her lifetime before handing over the reigns to the next matriarch, so she is definitely over-achieving.  I have also considered retiring her when she becomes an Adult, but I don’t know that I would be okay with MCCC controlling her.  I will be on vacation this week, so probably won’t be playing much until I return, so I have time to consider her options.

I have been playing Sims since August 2005; a member, then a moderator, and now an admin of Boolprop.net since October 2006. My sister is the one that hooked me on Sims in the beginning. She had all of the original Sims games and one week while I was on vacation I took her games and started playing. That was the beginning of my obsession. I played Sims 1 for about a month and then decided to buy Sims 2. When Sims 3 was released I made the move and have never looked back. Now I am all in on Sims 4 and still loving it.
