Hey There, Boo Bear (Chapter 7)

The polls have spoken and Oskar is the chosen heir.  Bill will continue to work on learning all of the recipes; Fleur will begin making friends; Odo will learn handiness and logic; and Missy will begin writing.  Emilie will need to master three separate skills, but as she will also be making the next generation, she has plenty of time.  Oskar is heading to the future to open up bot building and begin learning just how to give one sentience.  I am not sure it was obvious from the poll picture, but in addition to get Oskar’s pink skin and hair, we are also getting Emilie’s green hair.  This next generation is going to be colorfully interesting.  Back to the founders, Wade is at level 8 in Culinary and Molly is at level 3 in Professional Sports.  Frustrated for some reason Oskar?

Apparently, traveling to the future requires an adult.  So Wade agrees to show Oskar the future.  Oskar is wanting to figure out how to build bots so off they go.  Into the Future.

Oskar spends his first few days designing nanites (yep another list)

  • Neutron
  • Caustic
  • Quantum
  • Scalar
  • Lite
  • Lepton
  • Tribble
  • Heisenberg
  • Condensor
  • Tunnelling
  • Torque
  • Induction
  • Polar

The remaining nanites must be caught and reverse engineered.  Should have brought the collection helper…

  • Thermo **
  • Dispersion **
  • Entropic
  • Optic
  • Damping
  • Prismatic **
  • Uber **

Then he begins working on designing trait chips:

  • Competent Cleaner
  • HandiBot
  • A.I. Angler
  • Steel Chef
  • Fear of Humans
  • RoboNanny
  • Friendly Functions
  • Sinister Circuits
  • Sense of Humor
  • Office Drone
  • Musical Machine
  • Mood Adjuster

Reaching level 6, it is time to return home for now.  Oskar will return to the future soon enough.  The trait chips he still has to design once he reaches a higher level in the skill include:

  • Solar Powered
  • Capacity to Love
  • RoBotany Gardener
  • Limitless Learning
  • Simulated Emotions
  • Algorithmic Artist
  • Holo projector
  • Efficient
  • Sentience

NoOoOoOo!!!!! {insert hissy fit here}

I am not sure what I will do about this.  At least he wasn’t the chosen heir >.<

Fleur works on her friends, and starts off the majority of the relationships with a little boost from a friendship potion.  She then throws a party to cement those relationships and hopefully pick up a few more.  At the party, Wade enjoys dancing with Eileen Glacier while Molly dances with Stanley Wisteria.  Once Wade heads off to work, everyone heads to bed as sleeping tends to encourage everyone to leave the party earlier without affecting the party rating. 😉

Once the party guests are gone, Fleur has a solid 17 friends and only needs 3 more.  She will work on a few more potions and then she will be ready to move out once Bill decides he wants to be a Culinary Librarian.  As he is at level 8 in Cooking, it won’t take them very long to finish up and move out.  No one has received an opportunity yet to resurrect Odo and they only have up until Missy completes her lifetime wish of making $4,000 per week in royalties, which she also still needs to choose.

Wade reaches the top of Culinary and brings home the special fridge.  No more spoiled food.  He quickly learns enough alchemy to register as an Alchemist and will see if he can possibly get to the top of that career before he dies.

Odo is actually enjoying his ghostliness as he doesn’t have to study and can just play all night.

Fleur makes her last friend and is just waiting on Bill to make up his mind on what he wants to do with his life, and of course, to become a young adult.  They will be moving out as quickly as possible.

That just leaves Missy to become a professional writer in 7 days. Yep, surely she can do that and go to school full time. 🙂

The years of the teens is drawing to a close.  Bill and Fleur become adults and make their lifetime choices.  Screenshot-2

Due to indifferent study habits Fleur becomes an animal lover, which is alright with me as she has already completed her lifetime wish.

Bill rolls bookworm and then choose to become a Culinary Librarian, which he immediately completes.  This allows the couple to get married and move out to live their life in the story progression stream.  And of course, proposing to your girlfriend in the front foyer while in your underwear in front of your younger brother is always the best way to go.

The kids were born back to back so the next birthday up, birthday(s), belong to Oskar and Emilie.  Oskar “rolls” Bot Fan (sorry I had to give that one to him) and chooses More Than a Machine as instructed.  Emilie rolls Born Saleswoman which will help her out with her career as a Painter.  Her time fishing, however, has triggered her to roll a lifetime wish to present a perfect private aquarium.  Oh joy (yes I allowed it but still, it is better than mastering three skills).  She and Oskar tie the knot and then slip into the future for their honeymoon.

As they were getting married, across town, Fleur was giving birth to a boy named Jeffery.  Interesting spelling there.  Molly and Wade are both wishing for a lot of grandchildren now.  Bill and Fleur bring Jeffery with them to graduation where Oskar is voted Most Likely to Burn the House Down and Emilie is voted Most Likely to Never Leave the House.  Hmm…

Umm, oops.  Well, the family now consists of a jelly bean ghost and an electrocution ghost.  Maybe they will both come back at some point.

This leaves Missy to become a young adult.  She has written enough novels where she is making a little over $4,000 per week and just needs to roll the lifetime wish and grow up and she is moving out.  Unfortunately, she will be going alone since no one in the family has ever received the opportunity to bring Odo back.  With this realization, she gets her birthday cake two days early and decides she loves dogs, a lot.  She then heads out on her own to see what story progression can do with her.

The list of family lifetime wishes  for the founder and generation one:

  1. Seasoned Traveler (visa levels) **Molly** Completed
  2. High Tech Collector (advanced technology and toys) **Wade** Completed
  3. More Than a Machine (bot building and sentience) **Oskar**
  4. Presenting the Perfect Private Aquarium (fishing) **Emilie**
  5. Tinkerer (logic and handiness) **Odo** Died as a Teen from Electrocution
  6. Professional Author (writing) **Missy** Completed
  7. Culinary Librarian (cooking) **Bill** Completed
  8. Super Popular (friends) **Fleur** Completed

Oskar will be tasked with obtaining the Pioneer of Plumbotics legacy statue.  This works well with his lifetime wish of More Than a Machine.  He will, however, need to bring a plumbot home to the present to complete it.  And for the record, when the guides say it takes longer to level bot building in the present timeline, they are not kidding.  Oskar has been studying from the book since he came home from the future the first time and he is almost to level 10.  That is 14 days of teen and 5 days as a young adult.  With Missy out of the house, it is time for the family to spend some quality time in the future.  Oskar and Emilie plan on spending 14 days collecting and building and fishing and painting.  Then, hopefully, when they come back to the present time, it will be time for make some babies.  Molly will stay home and just be a fairy.

Emilie really enjoys her alone time, and can often be found fishing in the dead of winter.  I really wish her hair matched or at least complimented her eyes though.  And her slobby ways are growing on me, although she has a backpack full of personality potions, which she has not used yet.  She is looking for 13 perfect fish and currently has four.

  1. Minnow
  2. Jellyfish
  3. Sea Bat Starfish
  4. Anchovy

Careers Maxed (Workaholic requires 10)

  1. Culinary (Wade)
  2. Alchemist (Wade)
  3. Professional Sports (Molly ~ level 5)
  4. Bot Building (Oskar ~ level 1)
  5. Painter (Emilie ~ level 5)

I have been playing Sims since August 2005; a member, then a moderator, and now an admin of Boolprop.net since October 2006. My sister is the one that hooked me on Sims in the beginning. She had all of the original Sims games and one week while I was on vacation I took her games and started playing. That was the beginning of my obsession. I played Sims 1 for about a month and then decided to buy Sims 2. When Sims 3 was released I made the move and have never looked back. Now I am all in on Sims 4 and still loving it.
