Drifting Along, House 016.3

Information

It has been so long since I have played the game. A lot has happened in the past two years, more than I want to post about. But I am finally feeling the desire to play again, so here I am. I spent several days trying to decide what new legacy or challenge I wanted to start. Then I remembered my Drifters. House 16 is almost done, which is 2/3 of the challenge. Let’s see if I can complete the challenge this year.

In the house, Stella has completed all of her objectives except for completing the Lady of the Knits aspiration. As soon as Heidi can begin working on the woodworking table, she will need to create as many of the items as possible. This will feed into the next house where Heidi becomes the drifter. Heidi has 13 days remaining as a child while Stella is 3 days away from becoming an Adult. There is plenty of time remaining in this house with not a lot to do.

Apparently it is Winterfest today. Opening presents and lighting the tree are enough to make everyone happy so the holiday is ended early. Now to get to work. Stella only needs 2 more legendary knitted items to complete her aspiration. Heidi is starting to work on her aspiration along with her scouting badges, and probably her homework if that still needs to be done. This is one of the houses where both the drifter and the heir are controllable.

The household settles in for the day. Stella is so close to finishing her aspiration and Heidi is blowing through hers. Bruno is just being Bruno, doing whatever.

There are so many new things since the last time I played. I need to start looking through CAS and BB to see what is available. Not to mention traits and aspirations and maybe new skills?!?

Stella has completed Lady of the Knits and is officially done with everything except making sure Heidi grows into a Young Adult.

She might have to get a job now outside of the house, not that they need the money, but because she needs to do more than sit around and eat all day.

A new thing since I have been gone, is the little tutorials that give little gifts. So Stella is working on clearing those off the screen.

Heidi has completed her first aspiration – creativity. She switches to mental for her second aspiration. Although, it is Friday evening and she is on the part where she has to do her homework, so she won’t be making much progress other than leveling the skills.

It is also New Year’s Eve and everyone has a great holiday and then heads to bed.

Heidi enjoys a quiet Sunday playing marbles and hopscotch before her scouts meeting. She needs to be a teen in order to begin preparing for her future. For now, she can enjoy being a kid.

Stella adopts a Schnoodle, or something. Honey is already an adult and she is Aggressive, Glutton, and something else. Playful.

Stella buys all of the agility items and tests Honey out. She completes the course in 2 hours with 6 faults. So, there is some training that will need to happen.

Honey is tired and she crashes afterwards. So does everyone else, and then it is Monday morning.

Heidi spends some time getting to know Honey before school.

While the agility items are great, Honey is not concerned with becoming a show dog or even competing. She would much rather sleep. And she isn’t even Lazy, just done.

I know that pretty much every house I have been ready to move on to the next house long before the heir is old enough. This one isn’t going to be much different. Stella has completed everything required, which was to (1) Catch a Bat Fish; (2) Achieve level 10 of the Handiness Skill; (3) Upgrade at least 4 objects; and (4) Produce and raise The Heir to the Young Adult life stage. Nothing in the requirements specify anything about the house itself. Heidi has 7 days remaining as a child and then all of her teen years before she can move out, so 3-4 weeks at least. So, the family is going to play with some of the new stuff that has released in the past few years. First they fill the house up so Stella can’t “accidentally” get pregnant. In addition to Honey (Schnoodle), they adopt Haiku (Chihuahua), Hermione (gray Korat), Hallie (fat Calico), and Hershey (skinny Japanese Bobtail). Hallie has more color than Hershey who is mostly white. All are female except for Hershey.

    These guys are so cute.

OMG. Stella just bought one of each mini goat and mini sheep. The house is now the most adorable madhouse.

She puts up an animal feeder and allows everyone to run free. She will shear and milk for simoleons.

Then I read about Trendi and actually realized how it can be used. Stella purchases three outfits, sight unseen. Then she turns around and lists one for §25,000, another for §100,000, and the last one for §1,000,000. They will only be on sale for 24 hours, and the first one that sells is to “Cassandra Goth” for §100,000. The other two offers did not sell. She will try again.

Stella is also having a mid-life crisis. The previous paragraph might have been the first clue. For her “official” midlife crisis she needs to (1) Practice Acting; (2) Shape a Bonsai Tree; (3) Admire Artwork; and (4) Complete gigs. Then she needs to view a Tragic Clown Painting.

OMG – do not buy one of every color at the same time. I am losing my mind.

Stella sells off all but one goat and one sheep. This is Bonabell.

And this is Billy. I let the game suggest their names and here we are.

Two dogs, three cats, one mini sheep, and one mini goat. They would have a horse but they would have to let one of the cats or dogs go. So not at this time. If they don’t get to the horses in this household, Heidi will have a horse when she starts her house.

And then I realize that the desires continue to repopulate. Bleh.

Heidi has her A in school and is only a few days from her birthday. She will be busy as a teenager crafting items to setup herself up for when she moves out.

I have been playing Sims since August 2005; a member, then a moderator, and now an admin of Boolprop.net since October 2006. My sister is the one that hooked me on Sims in the beginning. She had all of the original Sims games and one week while I was on vacation I took her games and started playing. That was the beginning of my obsession. I played Sims 1 for about a month and then decided to buy Sims 2. When Sims 3 was released I made the move and have never looked back. Now I am all in on Sims 4 and still loving it.
