Karma Academy: Chapter 3

Felix tells the bartender about his experiences with the aliens.  She just gives him more wine.

Felix needs to max out rocket science and normally I would just send him up on multiple space missions, but Felix has already shown a remarkable ability to crash the ship (§1,000 every time).  That means he is going to have to do this the long hard way, which is almost as costly.  He is going to upgrade the rocket ship.

Felix is promoted to Ufologist, level 6.  He looks surprised.

Or maybe it is just indigestion?

I was looking at the rules to see if there was anything against Felix getting married, and I came back to this.  There is nothing in the rules about relating to marriage for Felix other than no woohoo before marriage.  Which means if Felix ever wants to woohoo, he will need to get married.  Or maybe he should just cut his losses with Miss Loner Hates Children.

Felix made his decision and they eloped right then and there.

With the money Cali brings in, they get a new house (downloaded from the gallery, by 23beatriz2131)

And of course the very first thing that they need to do is to have their honeymoon.

Felix is finally allowed to woohoo (for real and not that alien probe crap).

Afterwards, while Felix sleeps, Cali finds a job in the Entertainer career as an Amateur Entertainer, level 1.

Cali Dillard-Karma is Good, Loner, and Hates Children.  Her aspiration is Joke Star and her career is Entertainer.  She will not be contributing any points to the challenge, but she will be keeping Felix company on his journey.

Cali is going to have a hard time as an entertainer with her loner trait.  Thankfully, that is not my problem.

HarvestFest arrives, and they have to appease the gnomes in the bathroom.  Of course.

They also enjoy their grand feast and complete the traditions for their holiday.

While Felix wanders the neighborhood collecting crap, Cali finds some sims to make funny introductions.

Felix has completed the Nerd Brain aspiration, so he switches over to the Soul Mate aspiration.  That means two dates are lined up with Cali.  Two gold dates.

And then he passes out.

Felix is able to max rocket science while improving maneuvering thrusters on the rocket ship.  He worked hard for that too.

Felix has a productive day at work, although he doesn’t come home with a promotion.

Felix and Cali have two more gold dates to complete the next tier of his aspiration.

Finally, they are working on three gold dates and 50 romantic gestures.

Felix is so huge!

He goes into labor at the end of his second date (2/3) which they barely get completed.

Cali panics and runs into the other room.  Big help.

Felix gives birth to a little alien girl, Astraea.

After Astraea is born, Felix and Cali have one more gold date, which completes Felix’s Soul Mate aspiration.

They keep one of the VIP buckets (gold medal date reward) and sell the other six.

The new family settles down for their first night of sleep, hoping that everyone can sleep through the night.

That hope was short-lived.

Cali took out her frustrations on the dollhouse and then she repaired it like a good step-mom.

I even caught her changing Astraea’s diaper, which is surprising since she hates children.  But that trait doesn’t seem to kick in until they actually leave the bassinet.

Felix returns to work and his task is to invent the wormhole generator, which he has the materials to invent successfully.  He is asked to contact aliens before he leaves for the day.

When he gets home, he spends time with Astraea and then he takes a nap while Cali makes dinner.  After that he barely makes it into bed, crashing for the night.

Everyone is excited the next morning because they slept through the entire night.  Well, close enough at 4am.

Cali decides she might as well get up and practices the violin while Felix takes care of Astraea.

It is Astraea’s birthday so Felix celebrates her liberation from the bassinet.

She puts on her disguise first thing so that she will blend in with the rest of the family.  Now she looks more like her daddy.

Astraea is inquisitive and Felix starts her off with some potty training.

He expresses disappointment that she was defiant about the potty training.

Astraea is sad that Felix scolded her.

Astraea doesn’t stay sad for very long.  She is energized because tomorrow is presents!  So, today she will be working on movement first.

Sometimes the slide is fast and scary.

And sometimes the slide is slow and scary.  Apparently, it is also raining.

After maxing out movement, Astraea asks Cali for lunch.  While she is waiting, patiently, she checks out her neighbor.  They are going to be good friends pretty soon.

I thought Felix put her on the potty, but I guess she didn’t get much training done.  She has almost no green in her skill and she is filling her diaper up, pretty as you please.  She looks a little surprised by the feeling.

Cali fixes her chicken nuggets and I will admit that I look at my chicken nuggets like this also.

Eat them all – do not throw them on the floor.  spoiler: Astraea finishes her dinner.

Time to get out of the high chair, Cali is a little slow in responding.  Probably because Cali was on her way out of the house to work when Astraea called her back.

For once I am glad that the toddlers demands override everything else.  Cali was late to work because of Astraea’s request for potty, and there was only a 15 minute gap between when Cal finally left and when Felix came home.

Astraea ran out to hug Felix to welcome him home.  Felix was exhausted and went straight to bed, leaving Astraea up to continue learning skills.

She made friends with the stuffed bear, maxing out communication.

As she was finishing up communication, Felix was investigating a weird light – another abduction.

While Astraea waits for Felix to come home to put her to bed, she plays with the dollhouse…

Ahh, Cali came home first and still had the action to put Astraea to bed queued up.  She has also taken time off, which was also queued up from before she left for work.

I really need to pay attention to where these sims are when they die…

Found it.

I have been playing Sims since August 2005; a member, then a moderator, and now an admin of Boolprop.net since October 2006. My sister is the one that hooked me on Sims in the beginning. She had all of the original Sims games and one week while I was on vacation I took her games and started playing. That was the beginning of my obsession. I played Sims 1 for about a month and then decided to buy Sims 2. When Sims 3 was released I made the move and have never looked back. Now I am all in on Sims 4 and still loving it.
