Masters’ Master Simmer – Chapter 1.1

Wow, it has been awhile since I last posted. The past six months have had their real-life challenges but hopefully things are settling into a rhythm now. Fingers crossed. I started a lot of the scenarios in the hope that something would catch my attention. None of them did. I have them all on hold and will be starting the Master Simmer Challenge by IllusoryThrall (link here).

I started this challenge once before (2019) but my intentions got ahead of my attention. So this time, I plan on playing it slowly. The challenge rules have been updated through High School Years but there are enough goal sets for 91 sims, so I am not going to worry about the newest stuff until Thrall has a chance to update the rules. It will be awhile before I run out of goals.

Getting Started

Starting off the challenge are our unmarried roommates, Amaya and Alan Masters. Despite having the same last name, they are not related. My sister randomly chose the number 14 which counts out to be Evergreen Harbor. They looked around and chose the empty house located at Rockridge Springs. It comes with the lot traits of Eco Lot and Natural Well. It is a 2bed/1bath and will be a great place to get started on their new life together. All sims other than those born or adopted into the household are made by me according to the rules. So, we are starting out with a soon-to-be couple.

After looking at the EA version of Rockridge Springs, the Masters went shopping. They checked out a few houses and finally decided to use the Tier 2 Tiny Rockridge Springs Home uploaded by TheLittlestSim (10/28/22). There were, as always, a few changes, but mostly just to make the house perfect for the two painters. With the new house, they have Homey for their third lot trait. And then they delete the lot challenge of Reduce and Recycle and replace it with Simple Living. They will need to buy groceries before they can make meals.

Set #3 – Patron of the Arts

• Get to Level 10 in the Painting Career (Patron of the Arts)
• Master the Painting Skill
• Complete the Painter Extraordinaire Aspiration
• Decorate with At Least One of Each Painting Type
• Decorate with At Least One of Each Emotional Painting
• Get a Deal from the Agent at Least 10 Times

Set #4 – Master of the Real

• Get to Level 10 in the Painting Career (Master of the Real)
• Master the Painting Skill
• Master the Photography Skill
• Take and display 25 Outstanding Quality Photos

The household is setup, so it is time to make sure the worlds are setup. There are several venues that are going to be added now – a spa, a bowling alley, and an experimental restaurant.

I think that is everything that doesn’t populate automatically.

Now for some gameplay. The first thing that they both do is find a job in the Painter career. Of course, as founders, they will only start at level 1 – Palette Cleaner.

The next thing they do is work on their relationship. This house has only one bed and they are going to need to share it.

They quickly become romantically interested in each other and soon decide to begin dating.

They will celebrate their new relationship later. For now, they need to begin working on their painting for their careers.

After spending the afternoon painting, having a light dinner, it is time for bed. Anaya and Alan share the bed for the first time and then get some sleep in preparation of their first day at the new jobs.
