Phoenix Legacy – Luna 1

This is the beginning of the Phoenix Legacy, which will be a Rebirth Challenge ruleset. I have a vague outline for the ruleset and will be tweaking the rules and goals as we go. For her first lifetime, it follow normal legacy rules. She needs to have a career, aspiration, and goals to complete. I am going to count points to see if that will work with the rebirth rules.

I am using a new online tracker located at SimsChallengeTracker.com. For the sake of the tracker, the following settings were chosen:

  • Gender: Matriarchy
  • Blood: Modern
  • Heir: Random
  • Species: Tolerant

Luna’s aspiration is to become a Jungle Explorer. She has the traits of Cheerful, Geek, and Loves Outdoors. She delays building a new house and heads to Selvadorada for a vacation in the jungle. She will be here two days as she works on her aspiration. She might be here longer depending on how her first couple of days go.

Luna heads to the market where she learns as much as possible about Selvadoradian culture. She also stocks up on some secret wares, and purchases several tents and coolers to stash throughout the jungle.

She views the statue for the aspiration, has a quick meal, and then heads into the jungle.

It is time to get started. Luna works her way through the various vines and collecting what she can. She ignores the dig sites for this trip.

Finally reaching the temple, Luna manages to disarm all the traps and finally reaches the treasure. It was not one of the more fruitful adventures as she only obtains one calendar plate. Maybe the next trip will be better.

Despite having access to tents and coolers, Luna still ends up passed out, starving, and filthy. She is able to use water bottles to recover from the fire and peeing her pants. She heads back to the rental house to get some sleep. She decides to not return home just yet as there isn’t anything on her home lot yet. As for her aspiration, it is going well. She completed the first two tiers and is 1/3 completed on tier 3. She has also made progress on her bucket list, reaching the first milestone – The Road Ahead.

Before heading back into the jungle, Luna assembles several totems in the marketplace. She restocks her supplies and she prepares to leave.

Then she meets a sim that intrigues her. She spends some time getting to know him and then invites him into the jungle. Unfortunately he is almost immediately poisoned. He also tells Luna that while she is okay, I guess, she isn’t really his type. With all those poison rings on his face, he probably isn’t her type either.

Bees and spiders stalk Luna through the jungle. She is able to fight off all of the attackers on her way to the temple.

In the temple her luck runs out. She realizes she has been poisoned somehow. Probably spiders.

Finally finishing the temple, the poison has subsided. It is time to head back to the rental for some sleep and taking care of her other needs.

While Luna is clearing the temple one more time, Nancy Landgraab dies from fire outside. Before leaving the area, Luna takes the grave/urn with her. Nancy will find a place of rest back in Oasis Springs.

With Love Day coming up, Luna checks out the Cupid Corner and after scrolling through a lot of pictures, she find Nate Masson. Nate is a gallery sim because that is how Cupid Corner works. He is Cheerful, Romantic, and Family-oriented. Their attraction is “good” but they hit it off well and are quickly friends and then lovers.

Luna heads to the temple for her last run of the aspiration. She ends her temple runs with two calendar plates and six golden frogs, plus a lot of other things. She and Nate will have a good nest egg to begin their life together. Because, Nate shows up and proposes to Luna while she is clearing the vines. She accepts of course so once she is done with this aspiration, she and Nate will be getting married.

She is poisoned and this time she doesn’t fight it off. She is able to get an antidote from the marketplace before heading home to her empty lot.

The last steps for the aspiration are to activate the totems five times. She has plenty of totems and is able to randomly bless and curse various sims nearby. The aspiration is complete. She has also reached the second level of her soul journey – Making Headway.

Back home, it is time to get married. Deciding on a simple ceremony they head over to Tartosa where they use the wedding arch to exchange their vows.

With her first aspiration completed and the wedding done, it is time to build their house. I didn’t realize this was going to take all freaking day. First things first – they need money. Luna sets up the table and sells the eight gold collectibles.

It takes awhile to convince her cheap neighbors to pay 300% markup, but eventually it is done. That brings them up to §349,000 – so plenty.

Pedro is still showing signs of his poisoning. I expect he will die in the next few days. And nope, the poison finally cleared up.

After spending literally hours trawling through the gallery, Luna finally decides on an aesthetic, and then she finally finds a house that meets her criteria – single story but not cramped. The house was created by TheCountryRose57.

After downloading the house, Luna then spent more hours redecorating it to eliminate the closets, because that is how I roll. She also changed some of the colors, switched some items out for stuff from the new releases, and moved a few things around, but finally, at midnight, she and I were done.

Aww this is so adorable.

Luna finally gets a chance to stop by the cemetery to drop Nancy Landgraab off at the mausoleum.

I have been playing Sims since August 2005; a member, then a moderator, and now an admin of Boolprop.net since October 2006. My sister is the one that hooked me on Sims in the beginning. She had all of the original Sims games and one week while I was on vacation I took her games and started playing. That was the beginning of my obsession. I played Sims 1 for about a month and then decided to buy Sims 2. When Sims 3 was released I made the move and have never looked back. Now I am all in on Sims 4 and still loving it.
