Scenario: In the Moodlet

The last scenario was a fast one and maybe this one will be also. This challenge is about control emotions and completing all the various goals.

In the Moodlet

Information

Working in Retail can be so stressful! Some Sims just have the worst luck and get all the rude customers. Can this Sim leave their problems at work and unwind at home?

Potential Outcomes

Control your Sim’s emotions and complete all the goals!

This is another challenge that can use an existing single sim. This time the lucky sim is Saeko Ogura. She is another one that was created without a family. She is Gloomy, Overachiever, and a Dance Machine. She wants to be a Serial Romantic. That gloomy trait ought to make that a whole lot of fun. Saeko begins as a Shelf Stocker level 1 in the Retail career. And the only sim she knows is Nako – she was the Zoomers delivery person from the last scenario.

Wow, story progression put her in the large house at Golden Peak in Copperdale. It is a 3-story house with four bedrooms.

There are so many emotions that Saeko will need to experience:

  • Get into a positive Emotion 1 time
  • Get into a more intense Emotional state
  • Create 5 emotional paintings
  • Enable the Emotional Aura on an emotional object
  • Calm an Angry Sim down
  • Share Insecurities or Tell a Self-Deprecating Joke to another Sim while Embarrassed
  • Take a Shower while Uncomfortable
  • Call the Sadness Hotline or Cry it Out while Sad
  • Vent or Complain about Problems to another Sim while Tense

Saeko begins working on her painting skill. She is going to need to be able to paint emotional paintings, which I thought required a specific level but apparently maybe not. She uses the digital sketchpad because it is faster but will need the easel for the emotional paintings.

She is embarrassed and needs to tell a self-deprecating joke to someone so she invites Nako over to chat. She needs to meet more sims.

She pops the confident emotion so it is time to paint the first emotional painting. Nako comes out to keep her company while she does the painting. They aren’t friends yet, but maybe before too long.

Kiana! Nako invited Saeko out to the Jokers and Pranksters festival. Of course, Saeko chose jokesters and of course Kiana chose pranksters.

Saeko wants to setup some fireworks but the sparklers don’t count. She bought a fountain firework and that counted.

Woo!

The jokesters won the night so Saeko takes home a lot of fireworks and a microphone. She also meets a lot of new sims.

Time to work. Saeko heads off for her next retail shift. This job sucks.

It is a really big house. Saeko decides to adopt a child and Lorena joins the family. At least now Saeko isn’t alone in this huge house.

Before tucking in for her first night in her new family, Lorena completes her homework. Tomorrow is the first day at a new school. And Saeko has to work also. Fun.

Lorena’s schedule is completely off. She keeps getting up just after midnight and then is crashing by the time she gets home from school. Today, she was able to get some new clothes and changed her hairstyle. She also has a loose tooth.

Saeko gets the flirty painting done, and isn’t it cute – she is painting a family.

Saeko puts Lorena to bed and tucks her in. She is happy to have a little mini-me.

Saeko has done all the emotional paintings except for Anger. I always struggle with that emotion. She is wearing the Angry Lion hat to see if she can get Anger to choke out Confident and Happy. She needs to have a bad day at work.

But first, Harvestfest. You would think that as many times as I have done this with the chart that I would remember which gnomes get which gift. Apparently nowt. She is able to bed for forgiveness and prevent the damage that comes from angry gnomes.

Lorena was happy with the gnomes but Saeko wanted the full grand meal experience. The holiday is ended early once they both have their gold level.

Saeko heads to bed not even noticing that Lorena is making a mess. Lorena finishes her mess and then she cleans it up.

Saeko is struggling. She needs to be tense long enough to complain and she needs to be angry long enough to paint and then to calm herself down. Her life is actually pretty wonderful other than that stupid job.

Saeko came home tense and invited Nako over but her happy hides her tension. Maybe tomorrow’s job will do the thing. Nako and Saeko help Lorena with her homework and then Nako heads home.

Saeko puts Lorena to bed and FINALLY she has a 6-hour tense mood. She quickly wakes Lorena up to complain about her life. Really great to put that on the child. Good job Saeko. But it takes care of tense and now she just needs to get angry.

Saeko heads to bed and she is still wearing the angry lion hat. Everything is falling into place now – she has no moodlets other than angry. She is able to get down to paint the angry painting and then she views the angry painting. She is very angry now.

The scenario is over. Saeko is able to calm herself down which completes all the requirements of the scenario. It took Saeko 5 days to complete this challenge.

Before leaving Saeko to her new life, it is time to fill up this house. She has already adopted a child, Lorena. Next she adopts a female puppy, Hannah. Hannah is Loyal, Active, and a Sleuth.

Then she adopted a female Calico kitten, Orion. Orion is Affectionate, Curious, and Mischievous.

Orion finds the litter box as literally the first thing she does. It was a long drive and a little kitten.

Hannah lets out a howl to celebrate having a forever home.

Then Lorena encourages Hannah to go pee and poop on the front porch. As a puppy she won’t be able to go down the stairs until she becomes an adult.

Next, Saeko adopted Xiomara, a toddler girl. Xiomara is Inquisitive. And I just remembered to check Lorena – she is Outgoing with High Confidence and a Mean Streak.

Continuing the damage, Saeko adopts an infant girl named Rosie. Rosie is Cautious.

Finally, Saeko adopts a newborn girl named Amelia. She puts everyone to bed and is looking forward to geting some sleep. And then she remembers she has to go to work one last time, because I can’t end the chapter until she is back home with her little family.

This would be a bad setup if I were going to continue to play this house. I am not, so all the criers are sleeping in the same room. Saeko went to work but she was not asked if she wanted to hire a nanny. Four hours is a long time with a sad infant and a crying newborn. But everyone survives until Saeko makes it back home.

Ziomara babbles to the stuffed animal and then heads outside to play with the dollhouse. She can’t do stairs yet so she is stuck upstairs.

The nanny is here, I am getting out before I get sucked into their upcoming drama.

I have been playing Sims since August 2005; a member, then a moderator, and now an admin of Boolprop.net since October 2006. My sister is the one that hooked me on Sims in the beginning. She had all of the original Sims games and one week while I was on vacation I took her games and started playing. That was the beginning of my obsession. I played Sims 1 for about a month and then decided to buy Sims 2. When Sims 3 was released I made the move and have never looked back. Now I am all in on Sims 4 and still loving it.
