Scenario: Inspirational Mentor

There are only a couple more “easy” scenarios remaining after this one and the one for today is Inspirational Mentor.

Inspirational Mentor

Information

This Sim is all about learning and sharing knowledge and her goal is to help others grow! Sims can mentor in: Programming, Rocket Science, Comedy, Writing, Painting, Fishing, Handiness, Logic, Piano, Violin, Guitar, Fitness, Robotics, Fabrication and Knitting. To mentor, reach Level 10 in a mentorable skill and use “Mentor” interaction on another Sim while they’re practicing that skill. To write a skill book, reach Level 5 in a skill and use the computer to “Write A Skill Book” in the “Write” category.

Story Ending

Sim maxes a skill, mentors a teen 5 times, is BFFs with the mentee, and writes a skill book.

This is another scenario that allows the use of an existing household. I only have one household that fits the requirements. Unfortunately, Heidi, the teen, is going to become a young adult in two days so there won’t be time to complete the scenario. So, a new household will be made.

The new household consists of Calandra Dupree and her daughter Stephany. They both have the aspiration to become Musical Genius so Calandra will be mentoring Stephany in the Piano skill.

Taking their nest egg, Calandra builds them a tiny home. This should help her build skill faster – she has to master piano in order to mentor piano. The lot traits are set at Great Acoustics, Good Schools, and Study Spot.

Despite being a tiny home, they are able to fit the grand piano in the house. Of course, Calandra and Stephany will be sharing a bed, but that is fine since they have a close relationship dynamic.

While Calandra begins practicing, Stephany begins studying. It is Saturday when they move in so school won’t start until Monday. Calandra will take a job in the Entertainment career since they will need to have an income to pay the bills on Monday.

A few additions to the house include two benches out front and a picnic table for eating.

Stephany makes dinner and they enjoy their first meal in the new house. This is Oasis Springs so the weather shouldn’t ever be too bad. They are about to enter Winter so this was a good location to move.

A shot from below to show the wall radio mounted up under the eaves. Hopefully that protects it from the weather because it can’t go in the house since there are no separate rooms. Both Calandra and Stephany want to be able to listen and dance to music.

Calandra is still practicing so Stephany lays down outside for a nap until Calandra is done for the day and they can go to bed.

Calandra has reached level 6 in piano so hopefully they can begin mentoring in two days. She also took a position in the Entertainment career as an Amateur Entertainer, level 1.

The welcome party shows up while Stephany is taking a bath. She spent the morning collecting everything around the neighborhood while Calandra is mastering the piano. Stephany invites everyone in and makes introductions.

The living nook is really small so there is a lot of bed sitting and standing while they all chat. Calandra is still playing the piano. Tiny houses = fast skilling.

Checking the wall radio – it is raining and the radio is doing great. So tucking it up in the eaves was a good idea.

The piano has been mastered – that was really fast, maybe two days and she even took time to sleep, eat, etc.

Calandra begins mentoring Stephany, and this is also going fast. Calandra gets credit for mentoring five times, and Stephany is already at level 7. So, they are going to continue to mentor until Stephany masters the piano. Then, Calandra is going to write a skill book on how to play the piano. That will be the last requirement for this scenario so it looks like they will finish up tomorrow.

I lied. They are not going to finish on Monday. Instead, Stephany completes her homework and her school project and then she takes a bath and goes to bed.

She is still working on the project when Calandra gets home from work so they both work together to get it done.

This is it. Calandra is finishing up the book and Stephany has almost mastered the piano. The question is who will finish first.

Okay neither one. They both were exhausted and went to bed. Our goal is to now finish up Tuesday before bedtime. But first they have school and work to do today. Stephany earns a B and Calandra earns a promotion.

Stephany is also sick, so she orders some medicine and hopes it works quickly. She has spiral spots all over her body. I noticed last night that she was dizzy so that is part of the reason they didn’t finish last night.

This is it. Stephany mastered piano before Calandra completed her book. But it was close. I forget sometimes how wonderful a tiny home is, even if it does get crowded and there ends up being so many items outside in the weather.

And this scenario is complete. Calandra finishes writing her skill book for the piano and it is time to leave them to themselves. The scenario took 4 days to complete. There are two more scenarios to complete all the Easy ones. Then we will make a decision on whether to do the Intermediate or the Hard scenarios next. There are 2 Hard and 14 Intermediate. There are also 17 Story Starter Kits on Sims Community that I am considering.

I couldn’t resist. The post needed a little more before it is ready so I went back to the Ogura family to check on the little ones and the furry ones. First up is HANNAH. She is so adorable.

Then there is Orion – she has grown into a large fluffy puffball.

And a quick run down on the children – Lorena is still a cutie and she has figured out how to use the computer.

Xiomara is playing with the dollhouse, again/still. I am pretty sure this is where I left her, four days ago.

Rosie is having floor time in her room. Rosie isn’t even on her blanket, but no one was starving so I am not going to worry about them.

Amelia is having floor time on the playmat. The playmat is out on the upper porch, which means Amelia is outside in the winter without pants.

I have been playing Sims since August 2005; a member, then a moderator, and now an admin of Boolprop.net since October 2006. My sister is the one that hooked me on Sims in the beginning. She had all of the original Sims games and one week while I was on vacation I took her games and started playing. That was the beginning of my obsession. I played Sims 1 for about a month and then decided to buy Sims 2. When Sims 3 was released I made the move and have never looked back. Now I am all in on Sims 4 and still loving it.
